Imagine miles of white sand beaches, glistening blue ocean and a clear blue sky and you have a good idea of what to expect when you visit Costa Blanca- The White Coast. Costa Blanca is the coastal area you find north and south of the city Alicante and it is therefore especially the ocean, which is in centre on a vacation to the area.

The harbour city Alicante is the biggest city in the area and is called 'The Shining City' due to the fact that the sky is always blue and shining from the sunlight. The city is beautifully located at the food of the Benacantil cliff, which rises over the city with the dramatic fortress Santa Barbara as a protecting shield. During the day you can enjoy the relaxing life at the beach and at night you can eat at delicious fish restaurants and stroll down the beach promenade or the marina.

Another favourite in the area is the city Benidorm, which extends along a 4 mile long sand beach. Benidorm is a true big city with skyscrapers and an active nightlife, but the city also offers good entertainment for families with kids. You can for instance visit the theme parks Aqualandia and Terra Mitica or just enjoy you day at the long white sand beach.

If you are going on a beach holiday to Costa Blanca, then the city Calpe is a good choice. Here the sun shines more than 300 days a year, so you really can enjoy the nice beach and the beautiful beach promenade. The city's landmark is the promontory Penon de Ifach, which rises over the city. If you want to be active, you can take a walk to the top and enjoy the lovely view over the city and the Mediterranean.

If you choose to go on a trip into the country then rocky hills, orange-growing valleys and beautiful nature will meet you. You can for example take a swim under the beautiful Algar waterfalls. You can look forward to a great vacation on the beautiful Costa Blanca.
