Welcome to our cozy cottage, which is comfortably furnished, with space for both relaxation and togetherness. Good holiday memories are created here, whether you want silence with a book, or want cozy time with the family. There is space, both inside and out, for games and play. The house is suitable for 4 people, but there are extra beds in the basement activity room, if needed.
The house is located between the fjord and the sea, so the sunrise can be enjoyed from the kitchen window with a view of Nissum fjord to the east, and the sunset can be followed to the west, from the living room and terrace with the unobstructed view of the high dunes by the sea.
Since the house is located in the outermost row of dunes and with its own path to the sea, you can always hear the sound of the sea from the garden, which has several sunny cozy corners.
There is a closed garage for your car, and here there is space for your own bicycles, surf equipment, etc. and here there is a grill, fire pit, various. outdoor games, sand toys and a tow truck that can be used freely.
Within 500 meters you can windsurf and kitesurf on the fjord, fish at the lock and take beautiful walks by the sea. Within the same radius there is also a grocery store, church and cafeteria, as well as a functioning fishing port with a good fish shop. Thorsminde has a unique history from a harsh, difficult to access dune landscape, which was only connected to the outside world by sandy paths, to a small, idyllic fishing town with a lock, commercial fishing and countless opportunities for angling. At the lock there is a publicly accessible barbecue house, games, space for many anglers and the opportunity to clean the catch. When entering from the sea, you can fish from the piers.
From March to June, and September to December, you can catch herring. Mackerel is in season from June to October. In July and August, mackerel can be caught directly from the beach. Keep an eye out for the large flocks of seagulls. Thats where the mackerel are.

In the summer months, you can swim safely from the beautiful white beach between the northern side of the pier and the first hip, where a safety line is stretched out.
If you are into swimmingpool, wind or kite surfing, you look east from the kitchen window; there is Thorsminde Camping, where you can buy day tickets for these activities for a small fee, from Maundy Thursday to approximately October 1st, .
In the middle of Thorsminde is the Strandingsmuseet Sct George, which is definitely worth a visit. Outside the museum there is an exciting playground, as well as an exhibition of countless ship anchors with associated history.
On the southeast side of the lock there is a protected nature area with a large birdlife. The lookout tower over the fjord can be reached via small winding paths, on foot or by bicycle.
The 160 km long Vesterhavssti runs through Thorsminde, which is suitable for both walking and cycling. Especially along the south and east sides of Nissum fjord you will find small, tiny harbors that are incredibly beautiful. Helm Klink Harbour in particular exudes idyll and is only 8.5 km away. Bring your packed lunch and enjoy the nature, the small marina, campfire huts and the nice playground.
Thorsminde thus has all the possibilities for an active holiday, and when you get home to the summer house, you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the peace, the chime of the church bells and the rush of the sea.
