120 m2 vacation house situated in a small and old community of summer houses in the rolling hills of eastern Jut¬land (Jylland). This is the east coast of the long Danish peninsula reaching towards Norway – the conti¬nental part of Denmark, so to speak. The house is a modern wooden structure built in 2004. The area is very rural offering long hikes on dust-roads, walks in the forest and trips to the sea. Just 200 meters from the house children can play safely in a very shallow sea where they can find mussels, small fish and crabs. The area is very quiet and ideally suited for a relaxing stay away from the pulsating everyday life. You’ll see many wild animals like deer, hares, birds of prey and your standard fare of horses, cows, sheep and goats.
The area is very rural and secluded but within easy reach of both Aarhus (45 km) – main capital of this part of the country – and of the new national park of Mols Bjerge (Mols Mountains) (5 km). The name Mols Bjerge reflects the general nature of the Danish: What others have, we have (at least) as well. These mountains reach towards the blue Danish sky and at the highest peak measure about 150 meters above sea level.
In the vicinity you find a sandy beach, a small harbour, an old castle ruin, a smoked-fish outlet, hills for hiking and a lot of forests. The area is ideal for bicycling and for hikes. The more leisurely orientated can make strolls and promenades.
The city of Aarhus is 45 minutes away by car. In Aarhus you find all the amenities of modern life like ex¬clusive shopping, theatres, cinemas, symphony, opera – you name it.! Also the newest and most modern Aarhus Museum for Modern Art
