Benalmádena is a perfect holiday location, which has been enjoyed by many Danish, Spanish and English holiday guests.

The surrounding area is packed full with family entertainment, most within walking distance. The safe, local beaches have pretty boardwalks filled with tempting seafood, BBQ 'chiringuitos' and ice cream cafés. More sophisticated evening dining and entertainment is found in Benalmádena Port at the end of the boardwalk.

Take a two-minute walk and you will find ‘Tivoli World’ with fairground rides for all ages, evening entertainment and family restaurants and bars. Located in front of Tivoli is the 'Teleferico' cable car, which takes you to the top of Monte Calamorro. There is a spectacular view from the peak and you can also enjoy equestrian and displays of eagles. Every Friday, at the foot of the cable car, there is a large outdoor market where you can purchase local products and souvenirs.

There is a train service to Málaga city (30 minute ride), which has recently been transformed into a major cultural hotspot. The August 'feria' is a wonderful sight when the streets are filled with music and dancing with people in traditional dresses. The train also stops at the airport.

A ten-minute walk will take you to Paloma Park, which has beautiful landscaped gardens and a large lake. Peacocks, rabbits, chickens and ducks roam freely and there is also an extensive collection of cacti species, a boating pond, cafés and bars. Next to the park is Selwo Marina with daily dolphin shows and many other marine animals. Also worth visiting is Benalmadena's butterfly museum where a colorful collection of butterflies flies around freely as you walk among them.

If you still have energy to burn, you will find two Aqua Parks within a ten-minute drive, mini-train sightseeing tours, Fuengirola Zoo (15 minute drive), zip wire rides at Sohail Castle and more restaurants and bars than you could possibly visit.
