The summer holiday is over but there is not long till the next break, the autumn holiday. Is your vacation taking you to Zealand, maybe to a cosy summerhouse, and are you unsure about what to do while you are there? Fear no more the help is near. We have gathered a guide for lovely and fun activities for the entire family.

Halloween is placed right after the autumn break and that makes it a perfect occasion to gather the kids and make scary pumpkins, but if that is not enough for you, you have plenty of opportunities to take the Halloween mood to the next level. Tivoli is hosting Halloween from October 10 to November 2 where you can carve pumpkins, watch a witch show and experience parades through the park. For the brave ones it is possible to visit Hotel Scary after 5pm, a place where no one escapes without horror and screams. Also Bonbon land has picked up on the Halloween theme, however with the more fun and kids friendly slogan: Hallo-hviin (Translated: Hallo-squeal). At Lalandia the whole family is invited to an entertaining Halloween party. The ticket buys you a delicious buffet, costume competition and a lot of other entertainment. Birkegårdens Haver has gathered a little of both ideas and offers therefore both a Halloween themed park, with ghost maze, pumpkin carving and treasure hunt, but also a Halloween dinner under the name Monster-burger night.

Of course you can find other activities than Halloween in the autumn break. Go on a trip to the Øresund Aquarium, where they have a crustaceans theme in the autumn break. You can therefore participate in a crustaceans quiz, try dissecting a marine animal or pet a giant crab. In Copenhagen Zoo it is also possible to get up close with the animals, at their Zoo-camp. The camp is for children age 8 to 10 and allows the kids to spend three days with one of the zookeepers in the park. For the entire family it is possible to go on an evening tour, where you get to see the animals after dark. Of course the entire garden has a Halloween theme as well if you decide to visit the Zoo the usual way.

Many parks and attractions also have extra ordinary open in the autumn break, so there should be plenty to do. Just to mention a few: Knuthenborg Safaripark, Fredensborg Falkonergaard, Nordsjællands Birdpark, Odsherred Zoo and Cirkusland. So whether you like animals, rides or scary Halloween mood you are guaranteed a good vacation.
