Through history Loutraki in Greece has been home to natural thermal spas. This was the reason why a more modern Loutraki started developing and why the place later became a tourist spot for those who want a good day at the beach with relaxing spas afterwards. With its natural mineral water, this place became famous for health-conscious tourism. 

 

The beach in Loutraki is a very important aspect for its visitors. With its crystal blue water, the beach is the perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation and work on your tan. The beach has been rewarded the EU’s blue flag for environmental excellence every year since 1987.

You should start off with the famous Corinth Canal and Ancient Diolkos in the Poseidonia area. Then there is the Lake of Vouliagmeni coupled by the very impressive lighthouse in Heraion.

 

Some other sites to visit are the archaeological site of Heraion and the temple of Hera in Cape Melagavi. The Isthmia Archaeological Site and Museum in Isthmia, showcases the life of the ancient world and is also a fantastic experience. Another famous attraction in Loutraki is the monastery of St. Patapius. As this place is located on the Geraneia Mountain, it offers a great view over the town of Loutraki.
