Nice cabin for rent in Sondre Stromfjord Greenland

The cabin is situated 7 km from Søndre Strømfjord in beautiful, natural surroundings, and with breathtaking views of the inland ice floes, and of the fjord. The cabin itself measures 28 sq. m. plus an 8 sq. m. covered terrace plus two “sleeping lofts” at 10 sq.m.each. It comprises: Lounge, Bedroom ( with two beds ), Kitchen, Bathroom with chemical toilet, and the two loft areas – so that it can sleep 6 persons. All kitchen equipment is included, and you can either bring your own, or rent, sleeping bags or bed-linen. There is no electricity or water supply to the cabin. Price: Per week – D.Kr 3000,00. Per day – D.Kr 450,00. Car hire can be arranged.

In Søndre Strømfjord there is every possibility to experience nature at it’s best – on your own terms, and in your own time. It’s about 13 km from the hotel to the coast, and the cabin is about half way. There’s a grocery shop in Sdr. Strømfjord, and at the hotel you’ll find a delightful cafeteria, an elegant restaurant, a souvenir shop, and a post office. On the opposite side of the runway (which belonged to the old American air-force base ) you’ll find many activities. There’s a bowling hall and a sports hall, where there are both swimming and washing facilities. For the culturally minded, here is where you’ll find the church and museum – and don’t forget to spoil yourself with a wonderful meal at “Nordlyset” ( The Northern Light ).
