The bags are packed and the kids have been put in the car. It is the autumn break and the holiday home waits in the middle of Jutland, only one thing is left; what should we do during the holiday? Fear not cause here comes the ultimate guide to a cosy family vacation in the middle of Jutland.

Autumn break means scary fun and Halloween, and it therefore comes as no surprise that many attractions offers a Halloween version of the experience in the autumn break. Take a trip to Aqua Aquarium and Animal Park, which has gone all in with the Halloween theme. Here you get to meet Dracula who tells exiting myths about Danish animals. Their famous dark aquarium is also transformed to a ghost basement, and of course you also get to carve your own pumpkin man. In Tivoli Friheden you are welcomed in to a scary Halloween universe. The kids get to help solve the Ramasjang (Danish TV show) Mystery. You can also just lean back and enjoy the play, The Nights Tivoli (translated: Nattens Tivoli). And as an extra bonus you get it all at a Halloween discount, and the entry is valid the entire vacation. Also Djurs Sommerland celebrates Halloween with a scary witch school in the Haunted House.

In the autumn break you also get to experience life as it used to be. In The Old City in Århus kids from the age 8 to 13 get to participate in a whole day of fun, where they get to live as kids did in the old days. It is of course also possible for all visitors to make beet lanterns to the dark nights. At Hjerl Hedes Frilandsmuseum you get to play the games they played in the old days. Grab a scoreboard at the entrance and challenge your family in horseshoe throwing, sack race or one of the many other games from the old days. October 18. And 19. There is Hops festival, where you get to see them brew beer and of course get a taste as well.

To the more creative souls a lot of museums open up creative workshops. At Ebeltoft Glass museum you get to try painting on glass, go on a jewellery workshop and cast your own glass figure. You can also experience the museum at night, when they cast glass in the dark. At the Energy museum they play with magnets and you get to make your own compass. In Ree Park you get to be creative at the Nature workshop. Kids from age 3 to 11 also get to become Junior Rangers and join an exiting safari in the park. In Randers Rainforest the animals are the focus as well when they open up the talent show; NatureTalent 2014.

There were so many activities that we found it hard to fit them on one page, but here they are and now all that is left to say is, enjoy your vacation in the middle of Jutland!
